Things to think about:
Serving inside or outside
Lunch items if event between 11-1
Food Donations: from church members and community sponsors

Here's my first thoughts- details matter and good food can be a memorable wow factor as well as something that lets people know we are willing to put in effort to make them feel welcome.
The counter to that may be that we want to be cost effective and limit our expenses if we need to prioritize to other areas, and we want to be realistic in what we can make ahead of time or during the event.

Some ideas
Kid friendly but appealing to adults too...
hot dogs?
pbj sandwiches?
ham and cheese on rolls that people could add their own condiments to?
chips
cups of bunny trail mix (pretzels, graham cracker bunnies, spring m&ms, raisins, cereal, pastel marshmallows)
fruit kebabs?
salad in pita pockets for adults?

I really like the idea of cupcakes just because they are fun. What if we asked for donations of chocolate, vanilla, and carrot cupcakes, unfrosted, that we could frost and bling the night before? Maybe Al would build us a cupcake display-
(yes, so guilty of watching cupcake wars lately...)
